"A Woe to a Rebellious People"
Isaiah 30:1-18
Time and time again, Jerusalem has rebelled against God. So now, there is a foretelling of their destruction and fleeing of the land. However, there is a savior coming, and God will be gracious and exalted amongst His people. Our God is one of both mercy and justice, and the beginning of Isaiah 30 is a beautiful example of this, and a beautiful foretelling of Jesus' reign.
ABOUT OUR CHURCH
North Johnson City Baptist Church has had the opportunity to serve the Tri-Cities area for decades since being incorporated in 1963. Nestled in the heart of Johnson City, TN, our church is conveniently located directly across from Towne Acres Elementary School, just off of North Roan Street and I-26 (between exits 19 and 20).
Our church seeks to equip the saints for a life rooted in Christ through sound biblical teaching, expository preaching, and uplifting congregational singing each Sunday morning, as we gather as the body of Christ for a time of reverent worship.
We hold to the historic Baptist confessions of the faith, such as the Second London Baptist Confession of 1689.
Rick Powell has served in ministry at North Johnson City Baptist Church since 2005, and on Reformation Day 2010 was instated as Lead Pastor.
