Our Current Sermon Series:
The Letter to the Hebrews

"Not Ashamed to Call Them Brethren"

(Hebrews 2:11-13)

Returning to the 2nd Chapter of the Letter to the Hebrews, we see the author argue that there is a Biblical Theological foundation that establishes that Christ's redeeming mission required Him to become a man. What is more, the author states that Christ is not ashamed to call us His brethren. What does He base this on? Join us as we turn back to three Old Testament references to see how the author builds this argument.

ABOUT OUR CHURCH

North Johnson City Baptist Church has had the opportunity to serve the Tri-Cities area for decades since being incorporated in 1963.  Nestled in the heart of Johnson City, TN, our church is conveniently located directly across from Towne Acres Elementary School, just off of North Roan Street and I-26 (between exits 19 and 20).

Our church seeks to equip the saints for a life rooted in Christ through sound biblical teaching, expository preaching, and uplifting congregational singing each Sunday morning, as we gather as the body of Christ for a time of reverent worship.

We hold to the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message, as well as the historic Baptist confessions of the faith, such as the Second London Baptist Confession of 1689.

Rick Powell has served in ministry at North Johnson City Baptist Church since 2005, and on Reformation Day 2010 was instated as Lead Pastor.

We invite you to reach out if you have any questions about our church, and warmly invite you to visit and worship the Lord with us!
