Our Current Sermon Series:
The Letter to the Hebrews

"The Angels of God Worship Him: Part Two" (1:7)

We return to Hebrews chapter one in order to continue the theme we began last week: that God commanded the angels of God to worship Christ. In today's text, we see the author demonstrate from the Psalms that Christ is greater than the angels. He does this to show that the covenant mediated by Christ is greater than the one mediated by Moses and the angels. Today, he will show that angels are created (unlike Christ) and serve as ministers (not like the Son). Join us as we look at this fascinating text.

North Johnson City Baptist Church has had the opportunity to serve the Tri-Cities area for decades since being incorporated in 1963.  Nestled in the heart of Johnson City, TN, our church is conveniently located directly across from Towne Acres Elementary School, just off of North Roan Street and I-26 (between exits 19 and 20).

Our church seeks to equip the saints for a life rooted in Christ through sound biblical teaching, expository preaching, and uplifting congregational singing each Sunday morning, as we gather as the body of Christ for a time of reverent worship.

We hold to the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message, as well as the historic Baptist confessions of the faith, such as the Second London Baptist Confession of 1689.

Rick Powell has served in ministry at North Johnson City Baptist Church since 2005, and on Reformation Day 2010 was instated as Lead Pastor.

We invite you to reach out if you have any questions about our church, and warmly invite you to visit and worship the Lord with us!
