About NJCBC
Planted in 1963, North Johnson City Baptist Church has served the Towne Acres community, as well as the larger Tri-City area, for 6 decades. Nestled in the heart of Johnson City, TN, our church is conveniently located directly across from Towne Acres Elementary School, just off of North Roan Street and I-26 (between exits 19 and 20).
2023 marks the 60th anniversary of God's people gathering for worship at North Johnson City Baptist Church. Conveniently located directly across from Towne Acres Elementary School, in the heart of Johnson City, TN, our church seeks to be a place where Christ is honored and His people are nourished through Scripture, worship, and the Lord's Table. Our desire is to be a congregation growing in faith, holiness, worship, and Christian fellowship.
To this end, we seek to:

equip the saints for a life rooted in Christ.

offer sound biblical teaching.

focus on expository preaching.

encourage congregational singing in our services.

each Sunday morning, as we gather as the body of Christ for a time of reverent worship.
We hold to the historic Baptist confessions of the faith, such as the Second London Baptist Confession of 1689.
